Why you should get involved

Everyone has their own reasons for participating in The Duke of Edinburgh's Awards. You will have the opportunity to try new activities, learn new skills and have a great time along the way. You will have the freedom to participate in a range of activities that you might like to try, which means you will accomplish things you may never have had the opportunity to in the past.

The Awards are well known and respected so future employers will look favourably upon you, knowing you've developed a range of skills throughout the program. Once you have completed the program, you will receive a certificate to include with job applications.

The physical component of the Awards means you will have the opportunity to improve your health and fitness as well as build your self-confidence.

Through the Adventurous Journey component of the program, you can try exciting activities like white-water rafting, kayaking, camping or travelling.

The Service component gives you the opportunity to get involved with your local community and give back to others.
